Kynetic Labs

Kynetic Labs is a contemporary streetwear label specializing in outerwear for men living in colder climates. Taking inspiration from brutalist architecture and immersive installation styles in retail, I designed an indoor exhibition to feature my peer’s clothing brand as a final project for our Design Computing class.

Initial Gallery

I chose Cornell’s MVR Hall 1250 Gallery as the template room for this project, surveying its rough dimensions to create a model within Autodesk Revit.

This project was my first exhibition design work; it helped inform my approach to presenting my work in a future Perversion of Interfaces exhibition.

A hand sketch of the room’s plan and one wall, measured: 30’-8” by 20’-10”, 10’ high, with two windows

Rendering of the empty gallery: a pale gray room with five dark benches down the middle, wall lights, and two figures in dark suits

Branding and Fashion Flats

Kynetic Labs is an actual brand. I used everything shown on this site with Alan’s permission.

The poster’s background and project ideations were aided by:

OpenAI. (2025). ChatGPT (May 8 version) [Large language model].

Runway AI. (2025). RunwayML (May 8 version) [Generative model].

The full Kynetic Labs poster on a deep blue ground: the logo and brand paragraph, a dark mood-board collage, four white garment flats, two renderings of the outfit, two section drawings, the floor plan, and a render of the room along the bottom
