Atlas unfolds from a portable, 2″ × 0.75″ × 9″ case into a stable frame capable of supporting large-screened devices. It greatly increases airflow while helping users have fewer crooked necks.

I developed a press-fit assembly design where pegs would press into certain components while allowing others clearance, enabling Atlas’s hinges to tolerate heavy loads while remaining smooth and snappy.

This stand was designed to “set and forget”: it does not get in the way when it is in use or during transport. My intent in making this stand was to connect people to their goals, while the design connecting them fades into the process. I make these stands for friends and family upon request.

The stand folded flat: a white slatted top plate over black feet, seen three-quarter on a gray ground
The stand open on a white desk, office chairs and a table blurred behind it
The stand open at a shallow angle, seen side-on and low, mirrored in the glossy surface below
The stand raised to its steepest setting, side-on, its black ratchet bar running along the desk
A close view of one hinge: a black arm pivoting into a white knuckle at the corner of the stand

I have been using my own Atlas since May 2026, and there have not been any loose joints or other issues as of October 2026.
